God says homosexuality is an abomination. If you don't agree with this, then take it up with Him. We are commanded to speak Gods Truth with Love and respect. No matter how nicely I say this to someone, if they do not want to hear it, they will be offended. Gods Word pierces like a sword. I do not judge anyone based on sexual orientation, however, if they ask me what Gods Word says about homosexuality, I will quote Scripture. Now it is not me who judges, but Gods Word which judges. If they are offended at Gods Word, so be it. I am commanded to speak Gods Word out of Love and with compassion, I am not commanded to water it down so that it becomes more palatable to the listener. We are all sinners and deserve hell, my sins are no greater or no worse than anyone elses. God forgives me and I forgive others, no way do I belittle someone, or talk down to them. God loves everyone equally and His message is the same for all of us.
God Bless You...Peace.

People don't have the right to condemn gays, whatever the rights and wrongs. We are explicitly told not to judge others. (Matthew 7:1)
A person can suggest that another may change, but if this is not made with love, then it would be better to refrain from doing so. Bottom line, each person answers to God alone, not to others.

The people in question use God as their right to judge homosexuals. The same people use God to send witches to eternal damnation also. The difference is that if I wanted to, I could stop being a witch. Homosexuals don't have that option.

the Bible tell us so. As soon as you give your heart to Jesus you have to make a 180 degree turn in your life. Meaning stop sinning. It is not to say God will not forgive you if you sin like this no God says in Romans 4 that He will forgive you your sins BUT you also have no obligation to listen to your sin full nature. If you are gay this might be your cross you should bear and follow Jesus. That means you should stop sinning. You can be gay but not practice it, it is the act that God find a abomination,.God Bless

"The bible says so" is an honest answer, but is not reasonable justification. I think that no person should have the right to call someone else's sexual orientation an abomination, and would really like to find out more.

well most christians believe that the way to win souls over to God is to judge them harshly ...but in Romans ch1 vs24-27 it talks about evil desire and God turning us over to our own evil desires . I was gay for 35 years of my life, but know this above anythiong else miss....God does love us(all of us) more than anything in the entire universeand wants us to love one another and to seek Him with our whole hearts and turn from our sin no matter what we are but when i changed my life and gave Him control i felt such joy and peace in me , and to share it with others..If you believe there is a God then pray to him and ask him what is right and He will answer you ...i asked him what was stopping me from getting to him and he revealed it was being gay (as well as other problems i had at teh time)there are many verses in the bible that state to stay away from sexual impurity(1 thess.4 vs5-12 dont be a slave to your desires ....Galatans 5 v 19-26 our desires give us to immoral ways...) On behalf of God iwould like to say im sorry if the other believers traeted you with hate or malice..God loves us but hates our sin and it is sin dear.it just is and thats it. You ever have a sad feeling after having ssex? ever? probably just at first like i did but i learned to ignore it....that is Gods spirit showing us that we are doing wrong.. in closing just remember He loves you and is with you always...but sinners (no matter what kind we are) dont go to heaven. other tend to forget the love one another part.( if you would like to talk more you u can contact me.)

It makes them feel better about their own abundant inadequacies.
I'm sure that you've noticed that the people who say that kind of thing aren't exactly fine, moral, upstanding citizens, nor are they the brightest bulbs burning. The purpose of this kind of scapegoating is to give inadequate people a sense of superiority as long as they stand by the "party line" of their church. That helps them to feel good about themselves without having to actually change their behavior, and of course it recruits for the church.
I tip my hat in respect to the several believers who answered this question in an adult manner, pointing out that they are not to judge. You do your religion proud.

Being gay is a choice, not a sexual orientation. Since God calls it sin, it can only be a choice.

Man didn't say it first .
Thou shalt not lie with mankind, as with womankind: it is abomination. Leviticus 18:22
God said it ! That settles it!
We are not judging homosexuals. God will judge all who fail to repent of all sin We are merely explaining to them that their behavior is sin. Fornication and adultery are no lesser sins than homosexuality and we also are against these sexual sins as well as all sin. All sin is an abomination. Repent and come to Christ
