Yeah, pretty much all of them. Not so much considered lies at the time, more like legends, myths, and stuff they couldn't explain so made up imaginary friends to explain it.

Even with the best religion we humans tend to deceive ourselves. So, I agree with my professor who said, "Institutions have no morality." Only people. Maybe, So, another question might be, "Is there anyone whose personal faith is not built upon lies?" Or, a completely different question: "Is there anyone whose personal faith is not actually a lie?"

P.S. There's a difference between "built upon lies" and "corrupted." "Corrupted" would imply that something is right in the first place. Certainly mankind itself has been corrupted. And whether "the Bible" has been corrected or corrupted is up for debate.

All religions, I believe are intrinsically good. They are built on a strong foundation of humanist principles which if followed, strictly leads to betterment of our lives. The lies are derived from peoples interpretation of these religions. While Christianity allows for "confession", Jews for a promised heaven no matter what they do in existing lives and Muslims do whatever the local Sharia court tells them - Eastern religions such as Buddhism and Hindu allow for "Karma" - what goes around comes around as in "balances" of sin - you can afford to sinfully indulge a bit if you are prepared for so and so consequences and thus.

Good people can be found anywhere regardless of religious interpretation.

There may be truth in all religions, but I think any supernatural belief originated from something invented in the minds of men. Call it lies, call it delusion - there is a difference, but either way it's untrue.

all religions except my own, of course!
but seriously....
faith in something bigger than us (whatever you want to call it) is a way to deal with uncertainty and fear of the unknown and it seems to be a basic human need.
religions are an attempt to interpret that bigger thing.
unfortunately, since it's impossible to prove these interpretation, the more people that believe wha you believe and dont believe other things, the stronger your faith is, because... it's lasted for centuries and half the people in the world follow it... so it has to be true!
and if you dont believe it you're a heretic kakahead-bovine-feces-eater-and-spewer and will rot in abbadon.

Christians confessed that they are Corrupting and Interpolating Bible

Concept of trinity Trinity is taken from 1 John, chapter 5 verse no 7 "For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word and the Holy Ghost; and these three are one."
In Bible (R.S.V.) revised by 32 Christian scholars of the highest eminence backed by 50 different co-operating denominations, this verse which is the keystone of the Christian faith has been removed as an INTERPOLATION, as a fabrication and as a concoction. It has not been expunged from the Bible by the Muslims or non-Christians, but by 32 Christian scholars as a concoction fabrication because this verse does not exist in the original manuscript. We Muslims must congratulate the galaxy of D.D.’s (Doctors of Divinity) who have been honest enough to eliminate another lie from the English R.S.V. Bible, thus bringing it closer to the teachings of Islam and the Glorious Qur’an.

There are more than 3,500 versions of bible in this world.

Seventh Day Adventists and Jehovah's Witnesses.
First Roman Catholic Bible was published at Rheims in 1582. Second one published at Douay in 1609. These called RCV version of Bible. The Protestants regarded 7 books as ‘apocrypha’ (doubtful authority) and removed them from Bible. (The Book of Judith, The Book of Tobias, The Book of Baruch, The Buck of Esther, etc.) Jesus pbuh said in the book of Revelation Chapter 22 Verse 18-19 ". . . If any man shall add to these things (or delete) God shall add unto him the plagues written in this Book." On deleting 7 books from bible, the Catholics call ‘cult of Christianity’ to the Seventh Day Adventists and Jehovah's Witnesses.
