Learning spanish, whats the difference between 'todas las' and 'toda la',?

Im confused about 'toda la' being singular of 'all the'.

Toda la is referng tone thing like "Toda la noche" All night. Then Todas las mujeres" All of the women. Toda la is refering to one thing. Like "All" All night, All morning. Then todas las is like "All of the women, All of the girls" I hope that helps!

It may help if you think of the singular todo el / toda la as meaning 'the whole' rather than 'all the': toda la noche - the whole night / all night.

Don't forget that gente is singular in Sp and plural in Eng, so toda la gente = all the people.

toda la is refering to singular things like another person pointed out toda la noche( all night). todas las like todas las guitarras (all the guitars)refers to plural as in more than one...i think. im from spanish background and i studie spanish for 2 years. but check it out still hope this sort of helps
