Go to the vet. It sounds like an infection or absess. The vet will know exactly what to do. I'm sure that it's nothing a little antibiotics cant fix. I hope your kitty gets better soon. Good luck:)

Do get her to a vet asap. It sounds very much like an abscess, which can't wait. If it were my cat I would get her to a vet immediately, even if means finding an emergency, 24 hour vet.
Does she go outside or have any contact with other cats? If so it could be from a cat fight (most common cause of cat abscesses) but really it could be from any injury. It could also be from some kind of tumour (benign or malignant). I'm not trying to scare you, just make you aware. It probably is an abscess and is quite curable.

18 is pretty old for a cat. The conditions you mention could be many things. The bleeding could be from a wound recieved from another cat, or even some kind of self-inflicted thing, trying to get at a source of irritation. The foot could be injured, as in broken or sprained, or it could be arthritis. A trip to the vet is definitely called for.

Sounds like an abscess. The main part of the abscess can be far away from the opening in the skin where it started.
A cat 18 years old does not have a lot of resistance to infection, so she needs to go to the vet right now. It is a quite treatable condition unless you let it go too long.

My nans can had went missing for acouple of days and then was found in a neigbours shed, she was taken to the vets, her leg was swollen, and blood everywhere, they found out that it was a snake bite so it could be that
or
I have a cat and he is always fighting and comes in limping but in a few days, he is fine, and he has so many bites and marks on him, but he is fine.
or
it could be a disease and go to your vet

I'm sorry to tell you this but it sounds like arthritis and possibly cancer because of the open wound. 18 years is quite old and it sounds just like something my best friend had to deal with when her cats were old. Let the vet tell you and if she's in lots of pain you will know what to do when the time is right so sad for you. Give her lots of snuggles in the meantime and tell her, her favorite words. My heart goes out to you so much.

She may have caught her arm pit on something or had a fight.
Alternatively it will probably be linked to the former swelling you saw before, keep her inside to some her getting an infection and the vet will treat her properly.

Uh, hon, I have a question for you: what is keeping you from taking her to the vet? Open wounds in cats can get really ugly fast. Go now!

I would just try to keep it clean and cover it with gauze, if she'll let you.
Until you can get her to the vet, which I would as soon as possible.
I don't think it sounds like a terminal illness, I'm wondering if maybe she got stung by something and is having an allergic reaction.
But either way, she will probably need antibiotics.
Good luck and give her a kiss from me :)
