When you write your msg, there's a 'check spelling' button at the top right of the msg box :-)

Any treatment you get from a vets will be safe for you, your animals and your kids. Frontline Plus, Revolution, Advantage - all good. Frontline Plus is my favourite because it treats the environment as well. You should really use a housespray once (again, get one like Indorex or Staykil from your vets), but after that using Frontline Plus on your dog every two months should keep fleas off him and your house. The Frontline Plus spot-on will kill all the fleas on your dog within 24 hours, but if you want quicker, Frontline Spray will kill them all within a couple of hours. You can then use the spot-on regularly as a preventative.

Get Frontline or Advantage, or any product made by the same company. Those kill the eggs as well as the adults, so you will be getting rid of the fleas altogether.
You can use a shampoo that will kill them, but I suggest the topical fluid over that because it is a lot easier. Just make sure the kids don't pet the dog where you applied it for the first few hours. They can brush him, tho, and that will help it spread.

I used Advantage and Frontline the one time she had fleas and tics. As a preventive measure I flea dip her every couple of months and place the drops on her back. I also purchased a collar from the vet (they dont recommend collars but I wanted to cover all the bases.) I also sprayed my lawn with a product you spray with the water hose. Can't recall the name but you can find it at Loews or Home Depot. Another thing I did is that I bought several cans like Fogger to fumigate the house. We all left the house for 3 hours and came back. It worked but you need to be on top of it for several months.

Flea is the proper spelling. I would use Frontline or Advantix. These are drop you put on his back and it prevent them for a month. I would suggest the latter of the two.

I live in Seychelles we usually take our dogs to the beach and give them a swim if they are scared of water just force them to but dont drown them and the fleas will die trust me it works or if it doesnt work bathe him/her in salted water (add salt in water and bathe the dog in)
