allways pick the answer that is usually the one they want to here or the one make them feel better, instead of the answer that is the most informative and accurate? When they do this they are just kidding themselves, and you know they know this,so why would a person ask a question, and then pick an answer that is not the truth????. Are people on here that shallow minded????.

Milli your response has nothing to do with the question at hand, your answer lacked everything that I am talking about. If your gonna answer a question, stick with the subject not an excuse...............

some people want their opinions validated, want their behavior to be acceptable or excused, want someone to agree with their feelings so they will feel better, and it seems that people do not want to face an (at times) difficult/accurate truth about themselves because if they do, they may have to change behavior, feel guilty, or feel like an idiot. It is mainly self preservation and self concept issues.....if someone agrees with "my" problem, I must be in the right.

Just like there are people here who want real answers and people who just want someone to agree with them, there are people here who have different motivations for answering.
To say that they're shallow minded is rather narrow minded and doesn't engender sympathy for your argument. One might argue that only a fool will attempt to reason with someone bitter or looking for a fight. How does this educate or help anyone?
I personally dislike it when some asks what the name of a song, artist or movie was and an answerer just cuts and pastes something a mile long when I could have done that myself. Were they informative? Yes, of course, but not in the spirit of how I see Y/A runs.
In the end, Mark, I have to say it's all a matter of opinion. You know that old chestnut about opinions?
They're like ***holes. Everyone has one and everyone thinks everyone else's stinks.

Well you can't change everybody on here! And some people are shallow minded and others are not. It is not everybody, but you have to remember you are communicating with people from all around the world. Everybody is different and maybe you always pick the questions where people are shallow minded.

Of course they'll pick an answer that they like over the most informative and accurate. They seem to think that everyone must agree with them and anyone who doesn't is wrong, so they don't get best answer because they are right.

You are correct. I saw the question about SMART Loans and the answer that was picked as the best was way off and totally inacurate.
I also saw the question about Primerica and Citigroup and that one was way off. I have friends who have their financial licenses with Primerica and People still don't want to accept that it is a financial marketing division of Citigroup.
I have my investments through them with Legg Mason Partners and I could not have made a better choice.

Sounds like somebody's bitter about not ever getting a best answer. Kidding aside; some questions and answers are really subjective as opposed to objective. what's more informative to some might not as informative to others(different teaching styles/ways of learning). that doesnt make a person shallow, just human. I felt like you at one time, though. Don't let it bug you. HEY ??? Are you and Dustin Diamond from the same womb? You sure are overly sarcastic and bitter sounding just like him. I'm just sayin!!

The fact that "you" are complaining about what "they" do with the answers to "their" questions, can be considered shallow as well. We all have the right to choose the answer we want, for whatever the reason, and it's no one else's business, but that of the person who asked.
Sorry if this sound rude to you, it's not my intention, but we should always look at both sides of a situation.

Wow, Mark, that's a good observation! People do sometimes just pick the answer they want to hear!
How could anybody be so shallow? I know you'll pick the BEST answer, not just the one you want to hear!

Not all people do this, but it does happen. I think those people who do it are not looking for real answers, just looking for someone to agree with them. That is not necessarily wrong, we all do it from time to time.
You need to be more carefull about stereotyping and over generalizing. That is what leads to racism and prejudice.

I WOULD BOTHER TO ANSWER, BUT ALL YOU WILL DO IS EDIT YOUR QUESTION WITH SOME STUPID REMARK TO PREVIOUS POSTER...SUPRISE, SUPRISE...BECAUSE YOU DON'T LIKE THEIR ANSWER.
AND ISN'T THAT THE VERY REASON FOR YOUR QUESTION?
WHATS THE MATTER, YOU CAN'T HANDLE PEOPLES RESPONSES TO YOUR QUESTION?
