You might want to go with auburn or some color close to red, it would really bring out the color of your skin

Dark Blonde with slightly darker highlights

They sell a one step coloring that is red. You just apply it to the area you want to highlight, rinse and it automatically turns the area red. I saw it at the local Walgreen's.

You should get long chunky layers and fringes long along your face and apply it to the ends of your hair for a more edgy look.

You can also get blonde chunks in. They have tons of kits at your local drugstore or even at large discount marts.

After you get the blonde in, you can put unsweetened koolaid
in your hair. What you do is, you make a paste with koolaid and conditioner. It will stay in for few shampoos so you can change the colors. If you want it to be brighter and last longer, make the paste with a little vinegar. Vinegar helps it soak in your hair more making it last longer.

try a dark auburn red, it fades faster than any other color dye so if you get sick of it, it should be gone in a couple weeks. don't buy the cheap bottles from the store, go to a cheap salon and pick the coolest looking stylist you see.

You could get regular blonde highlights, or you could get a less toned, like a caramel color...
or you could try blue, I've heard that works, strange as it seems...

Good luck~!

I have black hair and I've found when it comes to highlights the only colors that look good are reds and blondes.

Red is a very hard color maintain and Im not sure if you can get good red box dye.

Personally I would go for the blonde it compliments black very nicely.

Maybe something like this..

either blonde (ranging from platinum to honey to gold) or red (ranging from bright copper red to deep wine red to almost purplish burgundy). it all depends on how dramatic you want it to be. But for summer, especially for a preppy look that isn't too "rocker", i'd go for honey blonde.

i think a lighter shade of brown would look as natural as you want your hair to look. choosing the colour is a little difficult 'cause you want a natural look, and... well, there are not many choices! there are many shades, though! xD
another suggestion is to highlight only the edge of your hair, instead.

Get brown highlights, But get to much of a dark brown where no one can see it but don't get to much light of a dark brown where you would just look crazy.

since your hair and skin are both dark i think you should go for a dark red or plum. it will look pretty natural and it won't look cheap
