I do not understand this question. Christians come from off the street before going to church. Even Chriatians can not change overnight. All they can do is live closest to Chrsit the best they know how, with some cussing in between, while praying to become a better person.

Christians talk about God’s love because, according to 1Corinthians chap.13 it is “the more excellent way” of relating to humanity and God. Unfortunately most Christians do not show this love and cannot without the indwelling Christ who effects the necessary changes.

One of the reasons was that Christ was asked what was the most important commandment. He answered, saying, "Love your God with all your heart, with all your mind, and with all your soul, and love your neighbor as you love yourself."
For a long time Christians were persecuted and other Christians were their only support. I was dangerous to be Christian. I wonder if I will have the guts these ppl had when it comes time....
Blessed Be

Love is the basis of Christianity. John 3:16 "For God so LOVED the world that He gave His only begotten Son, so that whosoever believeth on Him shall not perish but have everlasting life.

Man, I hope "God is Love" is the answer you are seeking because it seems like that is the only one many of these people are given. God also said "For I am a jealous God and will have not before me." Humm, Love and jealousy, sounds like a Jerry Springer moment if I ever saw one.

I did not know that it was a religious word. I hope and pray for your sake that there is love in your heart for someone or something. A life without love would be extremely miserable.

Because many argue that it is the meaning of life. And it truly is the driving force behind Christianity. Unfortunately, many Christians forget this . . .

Jesus said to his disciples: "Love one another even as I have loved you."
2196 In response to the question about the first of the commandments, Jesus says: "The first is, 'Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God, the Lord is one; and you shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind, and with all your strength.' The second is this, 'You shall love your neighbor as yourself.' There is no other commandment greater than these."
The apostle St. Paul reminds us of this: "He who loves his neighbor has fulfilled the law. The commandments, 'You shall not commit adultery, You shall not kill, You shall not steal, You shall not covet,' and any other commandment, are summed up in this sentence, 'You shall love your neighbor as yourself.' Love does no wrong to a neighbor; therefore love is the fulfilling of the law."

Religion is all about love.....love thy neighbour, love thy enemy love thy self, love thy God. Check love in the bible you be amaze how many times it's used. How can we not use love. God is Love. If the word love annoys you, i feel pity for you, have more faith in God and you will feel really LOVED.

Not only did, but still do.....and that's because God is love. True Christianity is based on love....the ten commandments are based on love....the first four deal with love to God, the last six deal with love to our fellowmen. Without love, Christianity is a sham.
