I know that I can catch roundworms myself if I were to accidentally get eggs on my hand, then somehow be transfered to my mouth. I also know that if he were to lick himself where there were parasite eggs present, then lick my mouth or somewhere where I might touch my own mouth with, that I can get the parasites. However, what I want to know is, can I get the parasite dircetly from my puppies saliva (say he hasnt even licked any parasires at all) So, my question is "Can parasite eggs be transfered through pure untouched saliva?"

Roundworms eggs are found in faeces, so they would only really be in a dog's saliva if he had eaten another dogs, or his own faeces (as dogs do).

It is possible to get worms if a puppy licks your face - however, it's pretty unusual. Firstly, humans aren't an ideal host for roundworms, so they tend to die off in us before we show any symptoms. Secondly, puppies should be wormed regularly anyway, and then you wouldn't have to be worried about worms - tapeworms are more of a problem anyway.

'Pure untouched saliva' doesn't really happen in puppies, they lick their butts! Like I said though, human infection by roundworms is rare, and if you just worm your puppy regularly you don't have to worry anyway. Puppies should be wormed at 2,4,8 and 12 weeks of age, then monthly until six months of age and every three months after (for round and tapeworms, I don't know about heartworms because we don't have that problem in the UK). Go to your vet for proper treatment.

I consider you simply requested this question. Puppies are born with circular worms ( lengthy skinny worms that seem like spaghetti whilst evacuated) however you had recounted that they're small. If they seem like grains of rice than they're tapeworms and so they come from consuming fleas, because of this you may additionally have a flea concern. Bring a recent stool pattern ( not up to 24 hours historic) to the vet whilst you carry him in. They will run a fecal drift to assess which style of parasite(s) he has and medicate for this reason. Usually you'll have got to provide one dose from time to time in three weeks to eliminate any larvae that experience no longer but hatched. You might see a big quantity of worms in his stool or hew ay vomit them up, don't be alarmed. That is the cure doing its activity.

You can. You really should get your pup into the vet and get it wormed properly. Besides roundworms, there are also tapeworms, hookworms and whipworms. Tapeworms are a lot easier to get. If the puppy has any of these and poops in your yard, they can infect the soil, forever.
