Consumer Reports recently rated the Volumetric Eating Plan as the best approach to weight-loss dieting. Simply put, for each food you look up or calculate the caloric density by dividing the number of calories in a serving by the weight of the serving. Then you focus your attention on eating more low-density foods than high-density ones. They fill you up sooner, so your calorie intake drops, and you lose weight. You can continue the plan indefinitely (after you get to your desired weight, just add a few high density foods to maintain it), so this diet has a good chance to keep you at your desired weight once you get there. There is a book available, "The Volumetrics Eating Plan", published this year. Good luck.

Eat only when hungry and not more than thrice a day. Nothing other than water in between. Include plenty of uncooked vegetables and fruits in each meal, preferably 50%. Chew each morsel at least 32 times to activate ur body to generate signals of hunger/fullness. Obey these signals.
Take light exercises and brisk walks regularly preferably twice a day.
U will achieve what u have not even dreamt and that too in a reasonable time. Do not be in a hurry.

Eat Your Water – Drink Your Meals
It’s important to stay well hydrated on a diet. People often mistake hunger for thirst. So next time you get a pang, drink a glass of water first to make sure you’re really hungry.
But that’s not the only way water can help you lose weight. “If water is incorporated into food, it tends to fill us up,” Somer says. Most fruits and vegetables are 80% to 90% water.
Another tip: Try a bowl of soup before each meal. “Make sure it’s broth-based, not cream-based,” Somer says. She also suggests, “a thick beverage like V8 before a meal so you’re less likely to overeat. You’re likely to consume fewer calories. Brown rice or oatmeal, which have incorporated the water into them, also work.”
Load the Fiber – Fill Up Before You Fill Out
“People who eat whole grains have an easier time managing their weight,” Somer says. “Fiber fills you up before it fills you out.” Whole grains have the added benefit of generally being lower in calories than refined (think white flour) grains and carbohydrates.
Most Americans get less than half the 30 to 35 grams of fiber most health organizations recommend for adults. The high fiber content of most fruits and vegetables makes them good sources of foods that make you thin – in addition, they are comparatively low in calories. What else can you do?
Look for breads that say 100% whole wheat to make sure you getting the real deal>>>>Hope this helps you out.

Try soup before lunch and dinner. It fills you up and it gives your brain time to know that you're full so you eat less. Otherwise, there's not really 'majic' foods that make it easier to burn fat, you just have to exercise and eat healthy foods in healthy portions.

Last week I skipped my usual meal (rice) and I replaced it with oat meal (plus fruits and other fiber source).
And today one of my friend told me that I looked slightly thinner than before. I think I'm gonna increase fiber intake in my diet.
Yep, you should try it too. Who knows, it might work for you :-)

remember that you should always consume at least 1200 calories per day to maintain healthy nutrition and stop your body lowering its metabolism, or you will create a huge problem for yourself in being able to manage your weight for more than a couple of weeks at a time.
If you struggle with weight gain it’s a good bet that you have tried at least one of the “fad” diets that crop up on a regular basis.
The truth is that some of these diets may grant you temporary weight loss. In the usual case, however, the weight returns as soon as you stray from the diet.
The bottom line is that you gain weight because you consume more calories than your body is able to use and no diet is a substitute for good eating habits.
Your body requires a certain number of calories in order to function properly.
If you truly wish to lose weight, you must burn off more calories than your body requires. In this guide you will learn ways to reduce the number of calories you ingest as well as tips and techniques to help you burn off unnecessary calories.
