I freeze cheese all the time. Yes it stops the spoiling process. We don't eat cheese very fast...so if it sliced individually wrapped cheese. I just take out what we need and put the rest in the freezer.

I have to travel some times with a short notice for weeks at a time & I do freeze my cheese, it does changes in consitancy ones you de-frosted but is perfectly good to eat, I would no tserve it in a tray but to make sandwiches & eat with crackers is perfect. On the milk I tiredit one and once and it was all watered down so I wont recommended based on my experience

Freezing cheese somewhat spoils its texture but it is still perfectly fine for cooking, rather than eating as plain cheese.

Absolutely! I shred my own and keep them in ziplocks in the freezer. You just have to squeeze the air out first before sealing the bag. I shred cheddar blocks, Parm, asiago, romano, Manchego, Jack, mozzarella, anything but a soft cheese. My freezer is full of cheeses. And they still work just fine and don't spoil.

you can freeze cheese, but leave it in the fridge for a good 24 hours to thaw out afterwards, with my experience I used cheddar, after thawing , it became a little crumbley

I don't recommend it. The best thing you can do is vacuume seal it. I bought some cabernet soaked cheddar, cut in half and vacuume sealed one of them, we ate the other.
That was several months ago and it looks just like the day we bought it.

Just freeze it in small chunks and expect it to crumble when thawed.
