Is this the same as corn on the cob?

I like to boil the water until it is nice and hot, then cook the corn on the cob for no more than 7 minutes. This is long enough to cook it without it losing any of its juices or flavors. I serve it with LOTS of delicious creamy butter, of course!

I've found the easiest way is to put the cobs into the pot and cover with cool water. I cook on high heat until the corn comes to a boil (usually around 10 min or so). Once it comes to a boil I either remove promptly and cover with butter or if the other food is not done, I turn off the heat and let the cobs sit in the hot water until I'm ready for them.

I just fill a pot with water and add a cup of sugar. Then boil the corn in the water.
Or, you can dissolve the sugar in the water, warm it (just a little) and let the corn soak for a few hours. Then throw it on the grill - when the husk is burnt, the corn is done.

the way i do it is take the silk out of the the middle of the cob and the outside (leave the outside on it) and soak it in 1/2 butter milk and 1/2 milk with a little sugar for a few hours then take it out and boil it. it gets really juicy and tender from marinating and then just eat it with salt pepper and butter

grill the corn on a charcoal grill for a few minutes until it is ready to eat, then rub it with lime juice and sprinkle with chili powder. this is good!
