Why oh why didn't you put the timer on! That way you'd have not 4gotten. Here's a quick an easy sponge receipt that you can have done in 20Min's. (but don't forget to turn off the computer) 3 eggs, 3oz sr flour, 3 oz sugar. method. Grease and flour 2 7" sandwich tins. Turn on oven to 200degree Celsius Whisk the eggs and sugar until very light and fluffy, sieve in the flour and cut and fold until not flour is visible. Divide between the two prepared tins. The oven should now be up to temperature. Bake for 8 mins allow to cool. Sandwich them together with jam and cream. DELICIOUS. and he won't have any broken teeth!

Sorry to laugh but it is so funny , why cant the lazy monkey get it out himself. At least you made it for him.
Anyway all you need to do is break it up, soak it in milk and make bread and butter pudd with it.
If you know the recipe you on a roll, if not just type it in google you can get some ace ones.
good luck.

With so many excellent and unusual types of bread on sale these days I'm surprised you felt you had to go to the bother of baking your own, especially as you had to resort to the internet for a recipe.

I can't make anything without a timer, I swear. Even after all these years. I get too busy doing other stuff. But I'll take the blame!

O.K. It wasn't my fault - but you can blame me anyway. Everyone else does!
How about turning it into a bread and butter pudding with dried fruit or a savoury one with chopped onion and cheese.
