To tell the truth, the 80GB ps3 is exclusive to korea. and I'm pretty sure that the 60nm chips are already in the newer ps3's, otherwise there is no real "new" model. Though in the future (guessing 3-5 years), there will most likely be a slim version

I think. it's also on sale in Indonesia and Hong Kong. Also, there are rumors, that Wi-fi antennae is going to be different. Apart from that - nothing else, except 80 Gb drive and IPTV. You can replace HDD yourself with 2.5" HDD (but you'll lose warranty).
Actually, I'm using only 5 Gb on my 60 Gb version, that includes saves, demos, etc., so I don't see a point in another extra 20 Gb.

I'm not 100% certain that it will come out worldwide, but there is an 80GB version which went on sale in Korea. So the only difference will be an extra 20GB of space and of course the added IPTV compatibility. Nothing special. You can just upgrade the HDD yourself.

They appplied for an fcc approval on releasing an eighty gig. it's the same system it just has the bigger internal drive which you reaaly don't need cause you can hook any external hardrive up via the usb and the ps3 can save , downlaod and access anything from that.

yeah, the 80gb ps3. but i dont think it will be in the u.s. so i dont really care about it. and plus, its only 20gb more than what i already have. big deal, you will never use up that much memory because there are not that much games for ps3 and there is not a lot of content on ps store.

it only 20 more gig so i don't think you really need it and if you plan on saving more than 60 gigs then you can always add more hdd
