I too have been looking for a Ford Escape's in that year range. I have been finding that with a fairly low mileage you can find a 2002 for around 7,000-9,000 and 2005's as much as 15,000-17,000. Those are the ranges that I have found in my research and in my area. I would do some comparison shopping on www.autotrader.com, www.cars.com, and www.kbb.com. Hope that helps!

Go to www.kbb.com which is the online Kelley Blue Book. The dealers and private parties use those figures to price vehicles. Unfortunately, I'm not sure they made the Escape in 2002, but the Kelley will tell you. Good luck!

The Ford Escape is an excellant vehicle. Thank you for considering it.
I will always recommend buying a pre-owned vehicle from a reputable New Car Dealer in your area.
You can find dealers in your area and also browse their inventory right from Fords website
http://www.fordvehicles.com
Pricing will vary from vehicle to vehicle, based on the year, miles , equipment, condition, (etc.) but should be in-line with vehicles of the like .
http://www.kbb.com is a good source for price averages.
The discussion about 'which model is best to suit your individual needs' should be held with the professional sales consultant with whom you are dealing with at the dealer.
Ford professional sales consultants will be happy to assist you.
They should also be able to provide you with information regarding the history of the vehicle (ie Carfax &/or AutoCheck reports) as well as service records & warranty information.
I hope this helps

Check out kelley blue book. It will give you an idea of what you should be looking for, then also once you find a vehicle, take down the vin number and check with carfax.com for any accidents, etc.

Definetly get the Corolla, they are very solid, have large gasoline mileage, and could final you a life-time. relatives automobiles are poor I own 4 automobiles, 3 american, and my a million toyota corolla. And the only one that runs is my corolla! So I ditched the yankee equipped s***. I own a 2001 Corolla and that i paid 7,000 for it yet its the style-s (in all probability why there's a value distinction in ours) and that i havent had a project with it in any respect, and Ive owned it for 2 years.

I would pay about $1.95. After all it is a Ford and will probably break down requiring extensive repairs in about 3 miles after you purchase it and then again at regular 10 mile intervals.
