I'm an atheist. The issue of abortion is a hard one to say the least. My problem with abortion is a simple right and wrong. Look both men and women have a choice in it. That choice takes place when both of them decide to have unprotected sex. If you do then you both have made your choice.
I'm not for making abortion illegal. I don't think the government at any level has the right to choose for people. I just don't like unborn babies being killed because some ignorant adults made a stupid decision. Abortion should always be a last option. Personally I'm opposed to abortion except for extreme circumstances. It's just not my choice what other people do. I have no right to choose for them. I do have the right to call them stupid and murderous for choosing abortion when it's not necessary. There are alternatives. Above all science has provided people with a means of prevention.

I'm Muslim and I believe that abortion should only be legalized in the cases of rape (which can be proven with a simple exam), or in the case of danger to the mother or other siblings also residing within the womb (which a doctor would verify). As far as abortion just to get rid of an unwanted pregnancy, I believe birth control should be a priority. It's called responsibility in my book.

I am Catholic and abortion should be illegal. I don't understand how people can condone the killing of children. especially from Christians.
What teaching can be drawn from the 5th Commandment, "THOU SHALT NOT KILL"?
"The fifth commandment - non occides (Ex. XX,13) - contains in synthesis the duties concerning life and the integrity of the human body. It is fruitful in lessons, not only for the professor in the lecture hall of the university but also for the medical practitioner. So long as a man commits no crime, his life is intangible and therefore every action which tends directly towards its destruction is illicit ... whether this destruction be the goal intended or only as a means to an end; whether this life be embryonic or in full flower, or already approaching its term. Only God is Lord of the life of a man who is not guilty of a crime punishable by death. The physician has no right to dispose either of the life of the child or of that of the mother and no-one on earth, no individual, no human authority, can give him the right to its destruction. His office is not to destroy life but to save it. In the course of the last few decades, the Church has found it necessary to proclaim repeatedly and in all clarity, these fundamental and immutable principles in opposition to certain opinions and methods." Pius XII, Allocution to the Italian Medical-Biological Union of St. Luke, November 12, 1944. (1)
The Catechism of the Catholic Church teaches that :
2271 Since the first century the Church has affirmed the moral evil of every procured abortion. This teaching has not changed and remains unchangeable. Direct abortion, that is to say, abortion willed either as an end or a means, is gravely contrary to the moral law:
You shall not kill the embryo by abortion and shall not cause the newborn to perish.
God, the Lord of life, has entrusted to men the noble mission of safeguarding life, and men must carry it out in a manner worthy of themselves. Life must be protected with the utmost care from the moment of conception: abortion and infanticide are abominable crimes

Abortion was always illegal until some dumb Roe vs Wade judge. The findings for abortion were all lies from the beginning. Abortion is the shedding of innocent blood and it takes a perverted and evil generation to promote abortion.
Women want to continually have permiscuous sex and use abortion as birth control. They totally ignore they are killing their children. This is evil and perverted.

It should be legal because making it illegal is denying authentic cases where abortion is a matter of life and death for the mother as well, not only the foetus.
I dont have a religion.

You are asking 2 separate questions, yet putting them into 1 sentence.
Abortions/women's rights are 2 separate issues. I wish people would understand that.
I abhor abortions!!!!! But I stand for women's rights.
If the government feels they can take away just 1 of my rights.....where will they stop!

Protestant. Of course abortion should be legal. What if a 10-year old get raped and pregnant? Shouldn't she be allowed to abort the kid? My sisters best friend got raped by her father. She had a child with him. The second time it happend she aborted the kid. Shouldn't that have been her right?
