And what facts would that be? Declining yields in ocean fisheries? Expanding ocean dead zones? China becoming a net importer of grain by 2020? PFOA, PCB and PBDE in your body fat right now? Archeologic aquifers 200 ft thick down 100ft in 100 years? Alien species invasion wiping out entire species on entire continents? Entire mountain ranges lopped off for the coal? Measurable quantities of unmetabolized pharmaceuticals in surface waters? Transgender fish? One third of the farmed shrimp from China contaminated?
The list of obscene environmental assaults goes on and on. What part of "we live in a closed system", “eventually resources will be exhausted” and “the ability of the ecosystem to regenerate will be degraded to the point it will no longer function” is not making sense to you?
When you confront the beliefs of the ignorant, the first reaction is violent denial. The logical conclusion of the environmental worldview is sustainable Socialism. No matter how much you believe we can find a magic solution, that someone will come down and save us, the “fact” that we are all stuck here together ain’t going away. You think I don't wish I could just go hide in the mountains and get away from all this? Trouble is, there is no more "away". I do this because I think I can make a difference. Why do you?

The puritanical gloom and doom merchants are ever with us sniping at us and making our lives difficult. I will not cow-tow to these people.
Green is the new Communist. The RED under the bed threat to our way of life. A way of life, which for the past two hundred years, we and our ancestors have striven hard through war and peace to achieve a better life for ourselves and generations to come.
Death to the Greens.
Edit: Meg above is a serial sinner who has benefited from the Slave Trade and the Industrial Revolution which was financed by it. She is in denial and has no concept of where the Greens are leading us. Down into the Slough of Despond and the Pit of Hell, to a land with nothing worth having.
Death to all Greens.
Edit 2: Thousands of American farmers have already jumped on the Green bandwagon and are growing maise/corn for the express purpose of making ethanol, for which there is a guaranteed profit.
There is no longer any profit in growing wheat for bread in the Bread Basket of the World, the Corn Belt of America. Thus the price of bread in UK will double before the end of year.
The poor will struggle to pay the price of a loaf in rich over fed UK and EU and beyond. We will be held hostage by the former Soviet Union, the only major source of wheat now available to Europe.
Green is the new Communist. Death to them all.

hurray Spoken like a true offender
They shout the hardest when people talk about being nice to the Planet that houses and feeds us.
And we moldies want to be here a bit longer, so we think we should be responsible instead of burning the ship on which we are sailing
Offenders or Enemies of the planet as i prefer to call them get upset if someone suggests that they are not being nice to Mamy.
I think they are worried deep down ,and so they should be ,
they will be the first targets ,when the poop hits the fan, and Green peace Turns to Green war .
The devastated fields, because of irresponsible Agriculture ,are hungry for them as compost
Apart from that this category has never been so busy since it has moved to the front
So not everybody is sick of the Greening
but All of us are sick of the garbage
P.S .the 150.000 people who die now annually related to Global Warming did not need an IPCC report to pronounce them dead

You do realize that all of this "green garbage" encompasses more than the global warming issue, right? Regardless of what a few politicians and film makers are doing, the real environmental movement is working and has been working towards positive outcomes in all aspects of life.

Green is a very nice color but in think all the green garbage should be composted. That would do the world as much good as anything else.

Back in the 1970s and early 1980s, scientists said the earth was going into an ice age. During the past few years they've gone the other way by saying the atmosphere is warming. IMHO, they really don't know what's going on. Next thing we'll know is that going green gives everyone cancer because of all the recycled stuff being used. Darn if we do, darn if we don't.

"I'm a republican, god will save us, and anyways, why should I care about global warming? I'm an old grouchy rich man who doesn't care about anyone but himself. Yes there is global warming but I'm too lazy and selfish to do anything about it."
That is how I see republicans. No I am not a liberal, I hate both parties but if I had to choose who is better, I say liberals.

Yes! I hate that ad. Not a big Ben Stiller fan. He's okay! The movie doesn't even look funny! Now, if the movie starred you, then I'd love to see the ad all the time!

People will say and do anything to support thier cause and gain profit. I just do what I feel is right. I dont feel that concentrating on "gloom and doom" is the right thing. I dont like being manipulated or scared into doing what someone else wants me to do. Isnt that grounds for divorce in some states???

Actually, we aren't at all happy about what the IPCC report says. In fact we're pretty upset about it. That's why we keep bringing it up, you see.
Please, feel free to message me though. I want to debate your 'facts'. It could be interesting.
