I hope this finds your Grandfather well. But please remember that it may not be God's will for your Grandfather to continue in this world especially if he is suffering.
My Grandmother was suffering from stokes so severe that she no longer knew any of us or even herself or where she was. She always said her mother died like that and she did not want to live and not be able to show us her love. So, while everyone else was praying for God to let her live, I prayed to God to release her from her suffering and take her home to Heaven, and he did. The great thing about all this is She and I are Christians, and I know we will see each other again some day. A lot of my family members admit they are not Christians, and if they die without salvation, they won't get to see Granny again. This is bitter-sweet, but it's life, you must allow God's will even if the answer is NO!

I'd recommend you pray for the best for your grandfather, which may or may not be him getting physically well. If you are praying for him to get well, that's a selfish spell because you are telling god what would be best for you, but not necessarily for your grandfather's eternal soul.

Father God, I come to you to agree with Kim in her request for her grandfather to get better. Please be with the doctors in their decisions for helping him. Please be with the family and bring them Your peace that passes understanding in this situation. Help them to lean on You and know that You love this precious man too. Thank you Father. In Jesus name I pray. Amen.
