"Normal" Christian. Like 94% of all Christians in America. (Never to be confused with the ignorant PSEUDO-Christians of the RRR Cult -- the "Religious" Radical Right.)

I believe in the FACT of evolution. Like most Christians, I have no problem seeing that any God who's intelligent, omniscient, and omnipotent enough to create the whole universe would be able to create the evolutionary process right along with everything else. Just another form of the MANY manifestations of perpetual motion that He put into place -- like the non-decaying orbits of planets... and electrons.

To "Ocram" -- Why should your answer make you "obviously" an atheist? I'm a Christian, and I agree with you 100%. (I hope you aren't one of the many who still confuse actual Christians with the high-profile RRR Cult pseudo-Christians. The ignoramuses who comprise only a mere 6% of the USA's *professing* Christians.)

To "Kim Christ" -- You said, "I have this thing about believing facts." Guess what? SO do most actual Christians. And as we both know (since it's obvious), evolution IS a fact.

Scientific polls have been done on this. One reported in Newsweek on US adults: 48% believe evolution, 39% do not. Also 22% of US adults do not know that it takes the Earth one year to orbit the sun. How much do you want to bet that the adults who do not know the Earth takes a year to orbit the sun is a perfect subset of the group not believing in evolution?

And for Rev Einstein (I'm sure Albert is turning in his grave); in the past 5 years over 80 transitional forms of Vendian to Cambrian life forms have been uncovered in the Doushantuo formation in China. The Cambrian itself was a long slow diversification of life that took place over 50 million years. Many paleontologists have studied this interesting period of time without finding anything that contradicts evolution. Please creationists--stop lying about the so-called Cambrian explosion.

Evolution is a fact. There is nothing to believe in there, it doesn't require an act of faith. Only the truly deluded can deny it.

Obviously, I'm an Atheist

Spiritualist with Christian and Buddhist influences and I think there are many valid points to the theory of evolution...I don't totally believe everything about it I don't think, but most of it.

Christian

I believe in some evolution, but I don't believe that humans and apes have a common ancestor. Until it's proven otherwise, I'll continue to not believe it. I also don't believe that life itself evolved from a single-celled organism. But I do believe in evolution within species.
