It is hard to work alone. Even starting your own business you have to work with customers, suppliers etc which can often be difficult - more difficult than bosses. There are people who just can't deal with a lot of rules etc. so being your own boss might be the best way to go.
You might want to try to find out why you have this difficulty - especially if it also happens in outside of work situations e.g. sports teams, friends, relatives etc. If you can improve this aspect you may be happier even if you have your own business.

Are you good at science or medicine? It seems to me you could be an excellent researcher. Of course you'll have to deal with people occasionally, but most of the time you'll be working alone. You could also start up a business on line. That way, you'll be your own boss and won't have to answer to anyone else. Also, your time will be your own--you can work through the night or during the day, whenever you feel like it. You may have some sort of mild attention deficit disorder, but this shouldn't keep you from being successful. Good luck in whatever you choose to do.

Well. Sounds like you might not be a 'team player.' You sound like someone best suited for working independently, which means self-employed. To do this, you must find something for which you have a passion and then discover what sort of business you can build around it.
Also, you may have some sort of attention deficit issue and a proper diagnosis along with medicine can work wonders.

I do alot of things alone too. Somethings are okay to do alone some are not. Many jobs are done alone in market place and it depends on your skills. You could drive a truck to be alone or a lab tech and be alone. Some people are all alone with a crowd. Don't let this stop you from succeeding in the field of your choice

I feel that way, and I own my company. Don't be more efficiant than your boss, at least not when your working together. It can cause resentment. A sheepherder is a good solitary job, as wellas manning a firetower.
