I want to go to the beach and enjoy the sun!?

Currently living in Banff,AB Canada and I have Wednesday and Thursday off. The weather is finally going to be awsome but i don't know where to go and enjoy it. Can anyone suggest a really nice place i can go for 2 days, preferably close to a beach or something similar...wanna just get away and enjoy the sun!!

The best would be the Okanagan Valley in BC. It is a bit of a drive, but worth it if you want to get away.
