There is a difference between knowing and having faith.
Satan knows who has the truth, and that he is the liar.
He also knows his time is short and having great anger, he is taking as many humans with him and his band of demons with him when his demise gets here.
BTW the correct rendering of 'believer' in John 3:16 is 'works for'.
Makes a difference in understanding doesn't it.
I guess the demons at Matthew 8 are christian also if your way was right.
Mat 8:28 And when he was come to the other side into the country of the Gadarenes, there met him two possessed with demons, coming forth out of the tombs, exceeding fierce, so that no man could pass by that way.
Mat 8:29 And behold, they cried out, saying, What have we to do with thee, thou Son of God? art thou come hither to torment us before the time?
Rev 12:12 Therefore rejoice, O heavens, and ye that dwell in them. Woe for the earth and for the sea: because the devil is gone down unto you, having great wrath, knowing that he hath but a short time.

Lucifer was an angel.
Angels existed before Christianity.
So unless he's converted in the last 2000 years, he's not a Christian.
Your presumption also has another fault: Muslims and Jews both recognise that Jesus existed and was a prophet from God (while stopping short of saying he was the son of God)...so being Christian is not a prerequisite for believing in Jesus.

Satan is NOT a christian because although he believes Jesus in that he knows (far better than we humans do) who Jesus is and what Jesus is about, Satan can not partake of the things that Jesus offers because that is only open to the sons and daughters of Adam Satan is a fallen angel and therefore not a descendant of Adam

From what I understand, faith in Christ as God's son and baptism, along with asking forgiveness of sins and being "Christ-like", makes one Christian.
The sort of belief you are describing is akin to faith. For example, I can believe in the existence of Christ in that he lived and breathed and may have very well been the son of God, yet I can have no faith in him as the Savior that the Bible describes. It takes faith to be Christian.
Look at Satan's track record and ask yourself that question again. Lucifer fell from grace and turned into the enemy of God. With names such as "The Betrayer" and "The Lord of Lies," whether or not he is a Christian becomes readily apparent. He tempts people away from salvation and does not seek redemption for his sin, namely Pride.
Essentially, he seems to be an instrument of God, but not, in of himself, a Christian.
Besides, he's a fallen angel, and, perhaps, the rules are different for angels than for humankind.

Your question had me there for a second until I started to think about it. I think you are misunderstanding something here. You have to believe in christ - meaning you must believe that jesus is your lord and savior and that he will bring you eternal salvation. Satan hates god, jesus and everything god created. He does not follow jesus, he does not love jesus, he does not love god....therefore he is not a christian.
Christian = Follower of god. Satan hates god. Thus satan is no christian.

There is a big difference in believing there is a God and accepting him into your heart, making him the master of your life . Satan, was one of the highest angels in heaven. But Greed got the best of him, he knows his time is running out, so he is trying to take as many with him to hell as possible, so don't be decieved.

Satan was once a christian, he was an angel for God. His name was Lucifer. He thought he was better and more powerful than God, so he went against him.

Satan knows the Bible by heart! Better than any one person knows it! Yet, he still rebels against the word of God. If he was a Christian, he wouldn't rebel! He would honor what God has told him, and us!

coolsteevo is right.
There is a difference between knowing who Christ is and following Him.
satan/lucifer knows the bible inside and out. he knows who God is, who Jesus is and he knows that he is a created being.
be became proud and boastful - therefore is not a follower of Jesus, thus NOT a Christian
very good question
blessings :)
