I know I need a trademark and copyright before pitching the product. Do we need lawyer's? All the major buyers are very interested. Predominately designed for Australian building industry. It's a great product, I couldn't believe it didn't exist already. How can we keep our product home grown? As you can see, this is not my field of expertise? far from it. What legal advice do we need and where can I find it?Desperatley out of league on this one!!

i would be more concerned with the liability issues. suppose a building made by a contractor using your item has a collapse. would not it be better that your company have to answer for this rather than you and your buddies made bankrupt. you will need a lawyer to set up the limited liability corporation, he can advise on the marketing and other issues you mention.
