Ok, i have been a christian for 7 years now. I go to church as much as i can, its my home away from home. I read the bible just about everyday. When you talk to me, you can tell im christian, because i have been told i have the light showing through me. I love God with all of my heart and more. But theres a problem. I feel like i am not onfire for God. I cant raise my hand in church, and i am not as close to God as i would like to be. I pray as much as possible to make me closer bto him, but it doesnt seem to be working. How can i have a strong air-tight bond with God? please only answer if you know, because i dont need more confusion.

Relax, every Christian goes through "dry" times. They probably happen for our testing. It sounds like you are doing everything you should be doing. Just keep being faithful and praying and He will do something in your life to spark that fire again. He will do it. You don't have to do anything more than you are doing. I've been there.

Calm down sunshine, You are human. What you are experiencing is called doubt. Even 1% of doubt can cause these feelings. I am a former chistian, but it does not matter what religion you are or what your beliefs are. Even the strongest of believers have a little doubt. It's in our nature. Relax, if you believe in everything that is written about your god, then the feelings you have will be forgiven.

Hey dude,

theres nothing wrong if you dont feel on fire for God, cause feeling is only secondary, for the main purpose is that God be glorified in everything you do

Take this as an opportunity to learn to have pure faith in God, not have faith that is based on feeling.

I envy you that you have so much disipline in your walk with God

God bless

Have faith, there are going to be moments in your walk when you won't feel is presence as strongly you did before. Like one said on here already it's a "dry" period. It's usually a period of testing of our faith. Continue to stay in the Word and pray because He is always there and near to you. Remember, the Lord is always with you even til the end of time.

Praise !!!! Thanksgiving!!!! I will tell you when you start to think of all His goodness and what He has done for you...You can't help but be in AWE of Him..Be a seeker of God...Look for His love and always remember it don't make you anymore Christain to say I do this and that,,Jesus freely gave His life to all of us and nothing we could have done or do can change that..
It is by Grace that we can speak to our Father,,not by any good works we do...I will pray for you and God Bless..

Are you praying to God or Jesus. God (Creator) is the Father. Jesus' Father and your Father, the Father of all and every. When you worship Jesus as God you are belittling the truth of his message. When you relize that Jesus was man and son of God, you realize we are all one the same, equal. Understand it and become closer with understanding Jesus in all true greatness, and know that you are as close to God as he was.
Jesus made it all possible.

The only thing you need to realize is that there is nothing wrong with you or your relationship with God.

religion is not same as faith in Jesus Christ alone,...have a personal relationship with Chirst ALONE and you'll see , I was once a church goer and it didn't give me an awesome presence of God as I have now through his Son Jesus Christ alone and his Holy Word.

God Bless You and Yours.
