The attacks are not from "Islam" but from a few misled and uncivilized barbarians who claim to be part of that faith. They have been brainwashed by some even more cruel and heartless who enjoy the power they have over such weak and uncultured minds that refuse to think for themselves.

I hope that you are not suggesting that any group of persons, be they a clan, state or nation, seek revenge against an entire grouping of individuals simply because of the actions of a few of the same. Such would be unwise, unjust and would make one as bad as one's perceived "enemies".
All civilized persons, of whatever faith or of no faith at all must learn to work together in cooperation towards the mutual benefit of all. This will promote justice and, thereby, peace.
Perhaps our "backlash" should be working to help ensure that the needs of all person are being met, espceially in regards to education, medical assistance, nutritional needs, safety and economic issues. Perhpas we should attempt to end discrimination due to gender, race and religion. Perhaps we should stop trying to force our ideas onto other cultures, especially those that do not want it.
Hatred and violence can never be and never will be overcome by more of the same. Such has been tried for many millenniums and it has always failed. Might it not be time for a "new" approach?
One is not separate from one's enemies. Each is part of the same universe. Each is made of the same second generation star material. The illusion of "separateness" and "otherness" is one of the cuases of so much suffering in this life.
Please, take the time to read, "Ethics for the New Millennium", by His Holiness the Dalai Lama.
Live peace and be peace,
May it all be well with you.

it relatively is extremely unlikely that any united states interior the western international might outlaw Islam... without subject wanting the boost of an anti Islam Nazi like political ability it won't ensue. for one Islam in no longer inherently violent, Muslims are not to any extent further violent than the different religious group, even if while extremists twist a faith with the intention to earnings ability those communities substitute into violent and hateful such communities are never unique to Islam yet Muslims are an different in many of the western international which skill everybody is unfamiliar with it so it turns into lots much less complicated to generalize some so talked approximately as Muslims to all Muslims while a Muslim extremist group commits a terrorist attack than it relatively is to generalize the strikes of a few so talked approximately as Christians while a christian extremest group does some thing undesirable.

Better stated: If the attacks on Islam continue what should be the backlash from among the Muslims?
Fortunately, 1.69 billion Muslims can put aside the hate (despite it being wrongfully directed at them) and work towards tolerance.

Any religion and the religious books do NOT mention about attacking another religion. It is just few fanatics in the name of religion go and kill others.
Like Abdul-Baha(Son of Baha'u'llah said), If religion be the cause of disunity, let there be no religion at all. Alot of Muslims are loving, honest, dedicated, kind-hearted people. Why should we make so many assumptions, and build hatred on gossip? Let us all get along, and leave the trouble-brewers no attention and time or whatsoever. If each person thinks of peace and unity, it is just the matter of time, we will be united.
Let us focus on unity, instead of other contradicting things. Hope this helps. :-)

There shouldn't be a backlash against Muslims. We can't condemn all for the actions of a few.

We can't blame all of islam just because of the evil actions of a few hundred million people who are non-true believers. We should ignore the actions of the followers of islam, and instead focus instead on the words of the few apologists. Did I say this right?

Unfortunately mob rule eventually takes over.
And the sad thing is, a lot of good innocent people will fall prey to that.
See, RATS like to scurry away and hide in the sewer systems where they are hard to catch.
That only leaves the ones that aren't hiding from anything left to assult!
