That makes no sense at all. It's not true. Water has no calories and won't make you gain weight. And drinking water actually helps you not retain water (I know, it's somewhat counter-intuitive) by flushing your body of salt and other things that make you bloat.

No but I read a study that cold water shocks your body so you don't lose as much as they say you will on cold water.

lukewarm water sucks! :o) I mean, cold water is just a given, don't drink too much too quickly if you're worried about bloating.
