No, but I lost my faith when I was not so kind.
God is God no matter what we think of Him. It is a nonsense to end up in hell only because we think He has been unfair or unkind. His promises are kind.

Good question. But I'll answer it with a question and maybe it'll be all clear.

Did you ever lose love for your parents because you think they were being unkind?

If they are good parents like God then later on you'll understand.

I think that people lose faith when they come to the realization god doesn't even exist.

People who just think god is sometimes unkind usually find some way to rationalize the cruelty of their god.

No, and he would never be unkind. That is why when people are suffering with disease he releases them from their bodies and take the souls to heaven. To me that is not unkind it shows a caring and loving God.

I have never had faith in a single, almighty God. It comes with understanding from different point of arguments and commentaries, personal experiences, etc.

The idea of an almighty God also reflects on the weakness of humanity as a whole and their dependency on a supreme creator and invention of so-called sacred books which eventually contradicts its own teachings.

However, from my personal understanding in the existence of God and different gods, celestial beings are always kind and loving. It is extremely hard to cultivate those virtues and practicing them.

Cheers!
