Why do they make light the power of the cross?

Don't they realize that salvation is a gift of God & not of works lest anyone boasts?

Do they take away from what Jesus did on the cross, so they can control their followers through fear of not being good enouph to be saved?

Yehushua, Jesus told us to be aware of wolves in sheeps clothing. Do you think He doesn't want us to recognize them for what they are? Be careful. The devil goes around like a roaring lion seeking who he shall devour. Recognize the wolves with Godly discernment. It is God who wants us to know them for what they are.

Don't let anybody discourage you to express what God places on your heart to say but you are right, God is fixing to take care of the problem if you look people are spiritually being drawn together through his spirit he said you shall know them by the fruits that they bare and it has to be his fruit. Keep doing God's work many blessings.

You are so right about that. And we all have a little bit of wolf and little bit sheep, we need to be aware of that.

Salvation is a gift. Deeds are not required for salvation but they are required if you walk with Christ.

I rather think the wolves in sheeps clothing are those who sell their fellow humans on the idea that they are 'inherently sinful' and MUST be saved, and that such salvation can only come by following an approved church doctrine.
The whole cross idea, that Jesus died to save me, and that I therefore better keep on feeling guilty enough to let someone else (the church) run my life, is not something Jesus would have ever supported.
Matter of fact, were he alive in the body today, I think he'd whip out the usher and donation collectors and destroy the crosses and other icons of religion just like he did to the money changers and sacrificial animal sellers in HIS church.

Maybe they also worry about not worshiping idols and futures and things made of metal, which is one the 10 commandements.
