I've overspent and now can't afford to send off for my passport until 21st next month. Is there any way of getting it quicker when I do eventually send off for it? I hear that the postoffice do a quick service for a little extra cost.
Thanks

How to Get Your Passport in a Hurry

Expedited Service

Cost, in addition to regular application fees, is $60 per application plus overnight delivery costs.
Two-way overnight delivery is strongly suggested.
If you mail in - clearly mark Expedited on the envelope.
Anyone may request expedited service for any type of application (e.g., first-time applications, renewals, amendments of existing passports, etc.) See:
How do I change my name on my passport?
How to add extra visa pages to my passport?
How do I apply to renew my passport?
Passport applications sent together or at the same time do not necessarily remain together.
Passports will be mailed separately.
After you apply - You will receive your passport: Normally, it takes 2-3 weeks to receive your passport from the date you applied. If you haven’t received your passport and are traveling within the next 7 days, please contact the National Passport Information Center.

Um, you can't afford the $50 for the passport? Can you afford to travel or pay the expediation fee for the passport?

I could be wrong but i'm sure I heard on the radio that you need to give plenty of time to get a passport as they may require to give you an interview. I presume its because of the terrorist attacks etc
