Thailand! Its a relatively safe, beautiful country, where there are a number of people travelling on their own. I went on my own a couple of years ago and had an incredible holiday!

This is an easy one. Vietnam is the new place to go. The country is absolutely beautiful. With miles of white sand beach's, Cool mountain hideaways, Great city night life and cozy country inn's. Its very inexpensive. You can get nice hotel rooms for $10 and beer is 15 cents a glass. The people are wonderful. I have traveled just about everywhere and I ended up buying a home here because I like it so much. Flights from almost any where are around $1000 USD. You more than make up the difference with the inexpensive lodging etc. Also, you are close to Thailand, Cambodia , (Angkor Wat) Lao, Hong Kong, No problem for single ladies. If you want more info I can give you the Email of a girl that has done the world by herself. Sara. She would be happy to fill you in.

When I went to Thailand recently there were many single (adult) females there. flight from UK approx £350 accomodation approx £1 - £3 / night backpacking

As a country it is generally safe for you to be alone there.

99.99% speak english I was there 6 weeks and only once was I stumped, it was when I had haircut (30p) I had to go back to guesthouse across road and get them to write down what I wanted

I had many conversations and activities with ladies there (nothing even remotely sexual by the way)

check out 'Lonely Planet' website on anywhere you might want to travel

Two scams for Thailand are, 1) someone will approach you and say there is something exciting that you must see, if you go, you will get there, but the tuc-tuc will have stopped at many shops on the way claiming the driver needs to stop for some reason or other. 2)if you go on an overnight bus, it will travel very slowly for the first hour, there is somebody in the hold looking through your baggage, they get off with your goods, if you complain and search everybodies bag it is too late, your stuff is long gone. KEEP your valuables/money on your person.

Don't go near Pattya, it is just a huge brothel

what about a touring holiday to New Zealand or Australia? That way you will be driven around, fed, pampered and will meet others travelling too.
