So you want a synonym for "synonym?" No two synonyms are exactly synonymous. Of course, you can define the word: "a word having approximately the same meaning as another word."

adequation, agreement, alikeness, compatibility, conformity, correlation, correspondence, equality, evenness, exchangeability, identity, interchangeability, interchangeableness, likeness, match, par, parallel, parity, similarity, synonym, synonymy
Those are dictionary.com/thesaurus' synonyms for "synonym". But they don't have the same function of the word "synonym," if you know what I mean. I think nothing is exactly synonomous to the word "synonym".
Good day.

"Synonym" is a word with the same meaning as another in the same language. Not so easy to find out, well here are some not so good ones though, but here we go: profession = occupation/or: discreet=tactful=careful. Hope I could he you.
