My daughter loves watching programmes from Nick Junior which I have no problem with, what I do have a problem with however is the loan adverts and financial adverts they put on between shows. Now Cbeebies doesn't have adverts and I love her watching that channel but as she is getting older she wants to watch other things. How do I go about getting rid of these adverts? Surely one complaint isn't enough. How can we all get rid of these ads to stop our youngsters thinking that getting into debt from such tender ages is a good idea?

THANKS GUYS

I have to say I love the ignorance of some of these answers.... but then I guess you have to look at the BIG picture rather than what is going on right now.
Why are the ads about grown up stuff rather than kids toys etc like they used to be....makes you wonder what they are trying to teach our little ones.

The comment about no tv is obviously a woman who has no children..... your comments are always the funniest as you are the quickest to crack and give into all the things you don't agree with before you have kids. All I can say is enjoy being high and mightly and don't crash too hard when you get kids of your own.

Thanks to everyone else with their sensible answers especially the youngster who answered the most sensibly of all.

I dont know but i understand your question..because my lil ones love nick jr! I was thinkig maybe sending a petition to the network and see what that does or if yu have the time constructing a boycott on the station until they make a honest attempt to fix it. Just a suggestion

That's the difference in watching a public television network and a private one. They have to pay for programing somehow.

How about you get your child out from in front of the tv and actually allow her to play. No child should watch tv, it leads to a life time of dull minds and duller bodies. She's watching tv and you are on the computer. Surely you can see there is something wrong there.

If your child has any questions about loans then you should talk to her about it. Its better for your child to informed.
If you don't want her watching this ads then i would suggest you put dvds or videos on instead so you know exactly what your child is watching.

so what you want is commerical free programing for your child to watch?
has your child asked for a loan for a bicycle after watching one of these commercials?
how about you explain that the show is for her to watch and all the rest of the commercials are for grown ups and baby sitters?
and i'm sure your child or anyone elses child is thinking of getting in to debt before they are old enough to fill their first piggy bank!!!!!
