The crunches should help the top part of your abs. However, my favorite exercise is great for the top and the bottom parts.

Lay down on your back with your legs sticking straight up (they can be slightly bent at the knees if needed). Keep your arms on the floor right next to your body palms down. Then, slowly swing your legs directly down and STOP right before your heals touch the ground and then bring them back up. In the beginning, they hurt like crazy. Start out with maybe 10 at a time. Once you get better, increase the number of times you do, and then reps. Hope this helps!

Eat healthy, this is a must.
You can go for two different types of abs, the muscular ones, which is hard, this requires you to have more muscle in relation to body fat. Lots of strength exercises for your abs, such as crunches with weights and the like.
You can also go for the 'runner's six pack'. This means you have very little fat around your stomach and therefore your muscles there are visible. This means a lot of running and aerobic work outs.
Good luck with that!

I HAD! the same problem I just did like 200 sit-ups a day.(very hard), but if you want them bad enough I guess. also I would go to the gym and work my abs on all their machines. You have to be very persistent because the bottoms of the abs are really hard to work with. so best of luck.

It's possible! Get rid of that thin layer of fat and do some planks and you should be good to go!

Depending on your physical status now it may be easy or hard.....but either way never over exercise as it will put too much pressure on your body....
