My question is: If you own a plane and put a fire extinguisher in it, Will it blow up once in the air at so many feet? My boyfriend has 2 seater Citabria and I got him one and I don't want it to expload when he gets 7000 feet.

Thank you for your kind answer.

You cannot put just any fire extinguisher in an airplane. It must be FAA approved. It must also be installed according to AC43.13. It must be signed off by a certified aircraft mechanic.

As for exploding, I don't know of that being a problem at 7,000 ft. altitude because many people live above that altitude.
