What we did with our toddlers which I never regretted was reading to them. We both read every day several times a day to them. I also was involved in a toddler play group for basic socialization.

There are plenty of things out there for 2yr olds, but don't they have the rest of their childhood for "activities". Kids are hyperactive and stressed enough now from parents thinking that their kids need to be "busy" all the time.

Take walks, go to petting zoo's, play in water, run around naked, talk about colors and use alot of words. Get out the paints, the blocks, the trucks, the baby doll and take naps.

The very best activity with your child is anything with you.

I have a 2 year old as well. I think you're asking what can your child do in terms of play groups? If this is the case, it's probably a good idea if he's around adults all day and has no interaction with kids his own age. From what I'm told he will learn better social skills such as sharing. My kid needs to stop hitting and maybe something such as play groups will help. Hey, good luck to ya!

A two year old is probably happy just being around other two year olds.

Atuned to the objects he see. He is curious to know the world. He is learning and let him learn.
