I know no one could guarentee safty but where would you all say would be the safest,- spain and egypt obviouly out (although prices may go down now lol)- i'm thinking maybe cuba? any ideas?

i was thinking cuba as they have no links with the USA who lets be honest are a huge cause of all the crap going on these days, and why may this be safer than spain or egypt - have you not seen the news????

No where in my opinion is safe. Terrorists could be anywhere and are obviously as we have seen past few days. They could be at the airport, in the cities or on the planes. Scary thought but true
If you fly to Australia then stop over in Bangkok or Singapore that way you get a rest in between flights. Don;t let the flight times stop you seeing such a wonderful place. and the flight passes SO quickly!

You're right, how do you quantify safety, look at the last couple of days and the attacks on airports? If you do find a destination that looks good its a gamble on whether you'll get an airport open!!
I would say Wales/Scotland are two of the best places for fantastic scenery, great accommodation and a choice of nightlife (hectic or quiet) but as at the moment you are more likely to get rust spots than a tan it might not appear to be a good choice... good luck with your search

There is No terrorism in Vietnam. They just don't put up with it. After 911 the Vietnamese just removed all people with Muslim sounding names. Vietnam has a small Muslim population and is one of the more beautiful and inexpensive countrys in the world. A great place to visit. India has the highest terriroism rate out side of combatant countries.

Australia is the best and obvious choice. that is parked badly at my local beach.
Come to Australia - and see our weird attractions, that NO ONE will stop talking about.
Unless you are from Australia, then I suggest you go to New Zealand.

Safest would be somewhere where you didnt have to fly, or take public transport. So if your home country is uk, then Cornwall is my suggestion, or the Lake District.
