I am not allowed to wear this medal so it begs the question what i should do with it.

British army. Was awarded at the same time as the Afganistan Service medal 2006

When I returned from Bosnia, I had my medal, certificate and flag I flew over Eagle Base encased.

I can't wear it but it looks good on the wall.

ok i have one myself and if your not allowed wear it you must be from a unit that "was never in afghan" and if your not you should be allowed wear it just because its a non article 5 mission medal doesn t mean you cant wear it you should get on to your c/o and ask why you cant and if ya still want something to do with it after that put it in a display case so you will still have it for a few year to come

This sounds like a question for the awards board of your branch of service. Ask your senior enlisted member to clarify it with them. The correct answer is only a phone call away for him.

l could be rude and tell you//but don't let it get to you /i was demobbed 1946 with six medals which went in a draw and all these years they have remained there i have never wanted to wear them so you see Loomy its not all that important to some of us

Looked up the medal ( had no idea what it was ) and it said it was authorized for wear on US military uniforms. Are you sure you can't wear it?

If not allowed to wear it, you can put it in a display case and display it somewhere in your home. If you do not want to display it, you can always store it for future generations to discover. I hope this helped!! :)

Send it to me I am a medal collector, it will look nice beside NATO KOSOVO medal, in my collection.

hey i got one of them as well, you'll get sod all for it on ebay.

I do know that RAF SNCO's can wear all non-article 5 medals on there mess dress.
so if your RAF keep it it'll your a sgt or if your army???......
don't know have a word with your admin clerks see if you can wear it on one of your uniforms.
