If one's body does not use blood sugars, then they are considered hyperglycemic. Insulin is released when your brain detects blood sugar, and insulin's job is to get that blood sugar into your muscle stores so that it can be used. For whatever reason, if insulin can not make this transition then one will have high amounts of insulin AND sugar in his or her blood. If this becomes cronic, it is called Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus, it is 90% of all diabetes cases. If you have hypertension (high blood pressure) and high cholestrol, you may have hyperglycemia. Defniately get a check up just in case. HOW TO STOP THIS: exercise daily 20 to 45 minutes at moderate to somehwta high intensity. Do large muscle mass activities (work the quads) by doing cardio (swiiming, jogging, biking), and weight train to improve muscular endurance. This will decrease blood glucose, improve blood lipids, improve CV fitness, weight loss, and it will most importantly increase insulin sensitivity which is good because this will enable your muscles to accept this blood sugar! GOOD LUCK! :D

Do you suspect that you are having problems with your sugar? Are you having weight problems, do you find yourselbecoming jittery and/or nauseaus after a carby meal ( it doesn't matter if it is pizz, chips or candy ) The body processes all of these like sugar. Are you experiencing migraines or menstrual irregularities. Even excessive hair can be a symptoms of insulin resistance. This are just a sampling of symptoms of insulinemia or insulin resistance. Write your symtoms down on a piece of paper and share them with your doctor.

Cheap test is a urine strip. Available at any drugstore. If your body isn,t producing enough insulin your urine will be sticky as your body is dumping sugar that can,t be processed.

Make an appointment with your Primary Care Dr, and tell them your concerns, They will run some tests to see what is going on.
