After getting treatment for chlamydia, (taking perscribed anti-biotics) can it ever come back, can complications still arise, or can you still pass it to others? Or is it gone for good?

Once u take the medication it is gone for good uless your partner has not gotten any treatment and u sleep with them or u sleep with someone else who has it. If u finished the medication it will go away but go 2 weeks after u finish the medication for s re check to make sure it is gone.

To my understanding (I worked in a prenatal clinic) the chlamydia is gone until you have intercourse with someone who has it, and then you'll get it again. You need to be checked for chlamydia regularly because it doesn't have any symptoms. It can be in there ruining your chance of having kids and you don't even know it.

The only way you get it is by sexual contact. So either when you were treated a few years ago, maybe you didn't wait long enough to have sex again and got re-infected, the treatment didn't work to begin with, or your bf is cheating and you just don't know. Hope this helps :) -MVP
