Absolutely

I work a lot in London and really suffer - my eyes and lungs get irritated, my clothes stink, my hair needs to be washed straight away....it really is quite damaging to the health.

And what's more...there are a lot of really great guys that smoke that I wont date - their breath and skin stinks of nicotine - yuk!!

If you really love smoking that's your choice. But i really can't understand anyone hating themselves that much to want to do so much damage to themselves. I am now 50 and look 40 - all my friends that have smoked look 60.

I love going out now that smoking is banned in NZ - and surprisingly even those who smoke love it too - and noone was more surprised at that than the smokers.

Bars that thought business would suffer have been pleasantly surprised as heaps of sociable people who hated the smoke are now going out - and their bar staff are much happier.

Should have happened years ago

Absolutely. If anyone is smoking in a room I have to leave. This is really frustrating when I'm just going about my business. But even if they didn't get to me, I would approve of a ban. If someone went out in public with radioactive chemicals in their pockets, they'd be in trouble. Yet cigarettes are a known carcinogen, even to non-smokers.

absolutely agree!! I was in Dublin at that time and it's because they couldn't smoke inside so we moved to a place outside that allowed them to smoke. They smoked in front of me. I ended up coughing and my dress and hair was cigarette's smell and I hate it!

I think its a excellent idea. Its been active in Ireland for over a year and been working very well. If some idiots want to inhale cancer sticks they should not take the risk of polluting others!

yes, smokers have to respect people around them. I don't like it when i am sitting on the bus stop and somebody is smoking beside me.
