Tea party is very mature. Serve several kinds of tea - plain, rasberry, Earl Grey, etc. You can have a huge pot of water and let them make the tea themselves OR serve them in teapots marked on a card besides the pot what kind it is. Serve honey, half & half, milk, sugar in cubes, sweat low, in nice containers/bowls.

Along with the tea you will serve small sandwiches on very thin bread (or cut up regular bread with the crust cut off), any kind but lots of choices of bread. Also serve small squares of cake or brownies. Have trays of sliced cheeses and fruit (practice this one).

In many towns from Seattle to Vegas people pay $25 just to go to a tea party.

Think a make your own ice cream sundae party might go over better. You can do it in a more sophisticated style than a kiddie party by using decorations that would look like an afternoon tea. Fresh flowers, pretty napkins, dishes and table decorations. Ask everyone to "dress up" for the party, too. Could have a punch bowl, too. And don't forget the music. Could even have a corsage for each guest as a party favor.

it depends if you have a strict tea party with the tea cozy and all. I would put a spin on it and have an ice cream party. Have a design your one milkshake and smoothie thing and relax by a pool.Seeing as how its summer besides cucumber sandwiches don't sound like your style.

that would be cool if u were 5. Take friends out of town for the weekend and stay at a nice hotel near a major shopping area, that is the best party
