Why do you care?
if somebody wants to be vegan, why do people give them advice telling them to eat meat? it's their choice and it doesn't even effect anyone elses life.

why can't we just be nice to people, especially if they aren't mean to us?

Your question would equally apply to anyone who is different from the group he's around.

When asked a question like that, I answer, "that's just the way I choose to live my life. How do you think the 49rs will do this season?" They may still be nosey, but they know, for me, the subject is closed.

Live happy.

I think some people have the idea that someone else's choice to go vegan is a judgment against them. Others have actually encountered the militant vegans and are just giving back as good as they got. Most though are just ignorant about the whole matter of vegetarianism period and are using the anonymity of the internet to take potshots at strangers. I personally don't see where the entertainment value is, but people will do weird things when nobody is watching.

I try to answer questions about my choice (I've vegetarian but not vegan) honestly but in a non-preachy way because I don't want to give these people fuel. I don't know if I'm always successful but I figure it's worth the effort, perhaps not for the trolls' sake, but for the genuinely curious people who are here to learn something.

I have never done that. I personally would like to become vegan when i get older. I can definitely see vegan and vegetarians peoples perspectives. Some don't eat meat for a healthier lifestyle, some because of their love for animals. I was vegetarian for a while but unfortunately my family is not and it was to much to only be able to eat side dishes but i will definitely go back to being vegetarian or vegan in the future.

What I don't understand is that they are here. V & V is an area for people who don't eat meat and not for people who eat meat to make fun of people who eat meat. Then it wouldn't be called Vegetarians and Vegans, it would be called 'Envy V & V"

Of course what they decide to eat doesn't effect anyone else's life. I agree with that...you got no argument from me there.

However...what really gripes me ...

is when these people, come onto this forum asking others about their opinions and gets it, whether it is good or bad.....we now have to sort through tons of questions like this that is eating up nothing but space.

Please!!!Everyone..let them eat whatever they wish as long as it isn't humans. And for heavens sake be nice about it!PLZ!

I posted a similar question and was bombarded with answers from mean people primarily (meat eaters). I had to delete it because it bothered me so much. I think many (not all) meat eaters are offended by us or assume that we are against them as people. It is sad.

True "vegetarianism" really involves NO ANIMAL PRODUCTS, but some where along the line some went HAYWIRE and started consuming animal products ...

Hopefully all people regardless of nationality , race, hair color etc etc will RISE to see that the TRUE STANCE for all CREATURES in the kingdom is TRUE VEGETARIAN(ethical)

HOPE IN PEACE

being a vegan is great. make sure you get enough iron by eating dark leafy veges and don't eat too much of the same thing over and over. switch up the veges every day. also adding omegas and fish oils will help with muscle and joint function. some vegans actually get gout and other arthritic illness because they miss too much protein. go to the website: It is all about raw food veganism. it's great!
