What is it called when the inside of Your eye bleeds and it gradually causes blindness?

My dads eyes are bleeding inside causing his vision to become blurry and will eventually cause blindness. What is the name of this condition? Also, their is a cancer drug treatment they can use to cure this condition but it isn't FDA Approved. Would you know what this drugs name is? I could contact my mom to find out but I'm not on speaking terms with her. I found this out through family. I'm afraid shes neglecting my dad by not getting him the treatment he needs, becasue of their money situation. Their insurance wont pay because drug isnt FDA approved

It's called Macular Degeneration. I have no idea what the name of the drug is that you speak of.
