Are there any continuous glucose monitors(a device that measures your glucose every minute or so) that are waterproof and prescription free?(over the counter)

nope, don't have the technology for that quite yet. the problem is rejection by the body of a foreign object and resulting infections.

There are devices that measure the glucose in the fluid inbetween your cells every 15 minutes.

However, none of them are over the counter, and they do need to be covered when taking a shower.

You can mail order the Glucowatch. Any continuous monitors are only meant for determining your own glucose cycles. They are not meant to be worn more than a few days or less due to infection and/or skin irritations.

u can obtain them for a trial from your doctor but they cannot be obtained over the counter or on prescrption.your doctor can only give you it for a small amount of time as they are just a method to see whether you are controlling it well
just stick with the basic glucose meter and maybe ask a continouos one from ur GP every month etc
continous one are quite a hassle though

no there is not any yet but give the ma few tears and they will come up with something new before too Long
