Some of us are Armenian from Armenia, Iran, Lebanon, some Syria, some from all over Europe, or other places in the world....Name a traditional Armenian food which is prepared in your family and like it the most.
And if you can explain about it a little, the recipe maybe?

I love Tabbouleh, Lahmajun, Katlet, Kufta's, and of course Dolma(with grape leaves, yogurt and Garlic, on the side of Matnakash Bread.. yumm, my mouth is watering). I also love one of the main Armenian dishes "kash" with dried lavash and garlic. But nothing beats Armenian BBQ especially the Kebob. Any way I can go on forever, so i hope you try these foods because they're delicious.

The Restaurant in Glendale Doodaybadooday is talking about is called Zankouh Chicken. It's chicken flavored with Armenia's finest tastes and sided with traditional preservatives of vegetables and Arabic Bread.

Can't remember the Armenian name for it...shoulder of lamb cut up, browned in oil, cooked in big pot with tomatoes, string beans, onion, green pepper...served with pilau. Kufte meatballs--two layers, coarsely ground beef seasoned with chopped onion & fresh parsley, formed in oval cakes with a layer of finely-finely ground beef around it, then [trying to picture auntie at stove here] fried or baked... served with unflavoured yoghurt & sprinkle of fresh chopped mint-leaves. Oh yes! lamb shanks browned, then cooked in fresh & tinned tomatoes in a big pot until meat falls away from bone!
