My girlfriends a vegetarian, she eats at taco bell all the time. They have tons of items without meat, and those that have meat are still good if you substitute beans for the meat.

Otherwise there aren't many alternatives. If you eat fish there is always the fish sandwich option, or side salads. Watch out for McDonald's I've heard beef juice is somehow used in the production of their french fries.

skcs11, I believe Sweet Tomatoes (aka Souplantation) does have meat in their soups.

Anyway, if you're desperate, the BK veggie is okay. Subway has a Veggie Delite or VeggieMax sandwich, plus soup options. Most places have a vegetarian option, especially Mexcian restaurants.

Taco Bell has decent food that you can request the meat be left out of. My aunt likes the 7-layer burrito there.

Quiznos or subway is always good. I don't know where you live but here most fast food places serve poutine, fries with cheese & gravy.
