HAMBURGER PIZZA (ON THE GRILL)

1 1/4 c. tomato puree
1 1/2 lb. lean ground beef
1/4 c. bread crumbs
1/4 c. minced onion
1 egg
1 tsp. salt
1 clove garlic, minced
1/4 tsp. oregano
4 slices Mozzarella cheese, cut in half
Heavy Duty Foil Wrap

Mix 1/4 cup tomato puree with beef, crumbs, onion, egg and salt. Pat meat into 10 inch circle on 18 inch square foil making the crust for the pizza, turn up edge about 1/2 inch to hold filling.
Turn foil up and crimp edges about 1 inch away from meat to catch drippings. Spoon remaining tomato puree mixed with garlic and oregano over meat. Top with cheese slices.

Place pizza on grill 6 inches away from grey coals. Cook 20 to 25 minutes. Cut into wedges to serve with garlic bread.

GRILL - TOP TOMATOES

Cut tomatoes in half. Brush cut surfaces with Italian salad dressing. Sprinkle with salt, fresh ground pepper and basil. Place cut side up on aluminum foil or greased grill over hot coals about 10 minutes (don't turn) or until hot through

GRILLED BANANA FRUIT KABOBS

5 firm, green-topped bananas
12 lg. firm strawberries
1 sm. cantaloupe
1/4 c. butter, melted
2 tbsp. fresh lime juice
1 tbsp. honey

Cut bananas into 1 1/2 inch chunks. Cube cantaloupe into 1 1/2 inch chunks. Thread skewers with alternating pieces of banana, strawberries and cantaloupe, beginning and ending with bananas.

Keep it simple where you can almost prepare everything ahead of time. I like your idea of cold pasta salad. But in addition, I would add a fresh garden salad, baked beans, salsa and chips, period. I personally wouldn't do the corn on the cobb for 20 people because it's too much work and messy. You could add a fruit or jello salad if you're ambitious.

Grilled veggie skewers are always good. Brush them with Italian dressing as they cook to add flavor. You can also brush them with some tarragon which is delicious. Fruit salad or melon medley is very refreshing and inexpensive too.
I would suggest steering clear of anything that contains mayo. It goes bad quickly in the sun and heat.

Try placing sliced potato's, onions, red/green and or yellow peppers, squash or any veggies you like in individual greased foil. Add salt, pepper, butter or olive oil and any other seasonings you like. Form each into a tent and place on low heat on the grill.
Its yummy and very healthy.

Have a great time!! I hope this helps.

Sounds good. Make sure you have something the salad can sit into that contains ice to maintain its cool temps. Nothing worse than spoiled salad dressing. Although I love corn on the cob, it can be a bit messy so have plenty of napkins. If you can get fresh tomatoes, serve then cut into wedges. Have fun.

Broasted corn on the cob in the husk - soak it in water first.

....Forget all the hard stuff. You're at the beach. Make it simple.
Just make some coleslaw and baked beans to put in the cooler, or some potato salad, and/or chips, and throw some hot dogs and burgers on the grill, and have a good time at the beach..use paper plates..and utensils..and dont forget to clean up the trash.. ...DONT LITTER..! ! ! Enjoy

BBQ is suppose to be simple. We always do firecrackers on the grill. Its. Jalapeño peppers cut in half deseed as much as you can. Inside peppers add cream cheese wrap with bacon and put a toothpick to hold them together. Cook on slow heat. so the bacon can cook till its done.

For appetizers you could do this (if people like spicy things)

take a long jalapeno pepper
slice it in half
scoop out the seeds
fill the pepper with cream cheese
take bacon and cut pieces in half
wrap the bacon around the pepper
grill and enjoy!

its sooooooo good!
