Well...it very well could be a yeast infection. I don't know what the symptoms are for that. However, the sores are what bothers me. Since I don't have enough information, nor am I a Dr. It's good that you are going to get tested for herpes. They can do a blood test for both type 1 and 2, even if you dont' have sores present. If you do have the sore, you can get it swab'd from your Dr. and they can get an even better test. In the mean time, I would abstane from sex until you do know for sure. If you do have herpes, and have no symptoms you can still pass it on via viral shedding. The virus remains in cells in the body after the first infection in a latent or dormant form. At some point this latency ends and the virus begins to multiply becoming transmittable. This shedding may or may not be accompanied by symptoms of a rash. GOOD LUCK.

this doesnt really sound like herpes to me. herpes are painful and blister like. It sounds like you might have HPV which then causes warts, some people never break out and some do. The warts are painless but irritating and must be treated to go away. But before you freak out it could also be a simple thing such as razor bumps. Just go to the dr and they can test and check you out and let you know for sure, good luck. The good thing is all this is treatable.

Sounds like it, you can still have a fully functional sex life even if you have herpes. The doctor will tell you that to. You will have to be more careful and hopefully you have learnt from this terrible mistake you have made. You are only human.
You can in the meantime look up the virus on the net by using HSV or HSV type 2 in your search

It's probably what your gynocologist says it is. I'm a virgin, and I got those once. It probably isn't herpes, but if you still feel unsure about it you can go back to your gynocologist.

It sounds like genital ulcers, which can be transmitted by STDs or thrush (yeast) which you say you suffered from.
However, if you have genital ulcers, it's best to get tested for STDs to have peace of mind.
You should be more careful about unprotected sex. Whenever you have sex with someone, you are also having sex with whoever he has had sex with in the past ten years!

it certainly could be herpes, but a gynecologist would be able to spot that in a second....so it's hard to say. You may want to see a different gynecologist this time.

i had that problem years ago. my vaginal area was swollen and i had these white things and i could peel them off, i looked up everything i could, and then my friend told me it was a bad yeast infection, this thing i had was so bad that after i peed i had to rinse myself off with water and it was horrible, i did get tested afterwards for STDS and i came out negative, mind you i got tested like a year after and then again 4 years after and im still clear from STDS. what was more strange it didnt classify under any STDS. i heard though if you get medication for it, it clears up faster. so in my opinon you arent infected with any STDS.
