Cous Cous is a food of the Maghreb of Berber origin. Couscous consists of spherical granules which are made by rolling and shaping moistened semolina wheat and then coating them with finely ground wheat flour. The finished grains are about 1 mm or 1/26th inch in diameter (after cooking).Traditional couscous requires considerable preparation time and is usually steamed. In many places, a more processed quick-cook couscous is available and is particularly valued for its rapid preparation time.

It's a grain. You can get it in packs that are flavoured already - med veg, pesto, etc. It's really nice and summery too. And it takes about 6 minutes to make. Some you just pour hot water over and others you simmer on the oven for a couple of minutes.

Reading from the packet in my cupboard "Steamed and dried drum wheat semolina". It's small grains (a bit like tiny grains of rice) to which you add boiling water to produce a bland, grainy base - you can add all sorts of food to it to spice it up, and it's a good alternative to rice or pasta as a base for a dish.

It's a grain-food usually made from the same [durum] wheat as pasta flour, semolina. Ground bigger than for flour obviously, but the same plant nonetheless. If you do the same process with corn you'll have grits. Same process with Non-Durum wheat will yield farina, most commonly known as Cream of Wheat.

It is a Moroccan pasta that is very small. It's used for the starch/carb part of the meal much like rice or potatoes. It's very good with curry.
