I survived on mainly watermelon the first few weeks of pregnancy. It never really made me feel more nauseated and if I did vomit, it tastes the same comming up as going down.

I agree with above for first thing in the morning. Do not get out of bed or move your head too much, just relax and eat some crackers (keep them there all night so you can just reach them) and that will help not to have an empty stomach.

For during the day, i used to chop up ginger and strain it, put sugar in the water and drink it as a tea. Yes it's not the best tasting tea, but ginger is renound for settling an upset stomach, and is safe in pregnancy.

The worst of mine passed at 13 weeks, it is usually just the first trimester.

All the best

That lady above is a nurse? Yeah, she is an ignorant one at that!!!

I was sick my entire pregnancy and was hospitalizedat least 5 times for dehydration. I found that during my second and third pregnancy that when I wake up in the morning first, don't JUMP UP AND OUT OF BED! Lay there in bed, head propped up of course and keep some saltine crackers by your bed and lay there and eat a few........try a couple and add a few more each day..........not Ritz or any buttery flavored ones, just regular saltines. Take your time, wake up........sit on the side of the bed........don't drink anything right after you eat the crackers or as soon as you get up. I found that whenever I rushed to do anything is when it was worse..................I feel for ya................but try that ok? I hope its only a first trimester thing for you! Good luck with the baby, all this will be so worth it....................

Hey hun. Its different for everyone, but for me the nausea struck when I didnt eat as soon as I woke up. Or even if I had woke up and just laid in bed for a while afterward.

Eating carbs right when you get up is a good practice to stave off the pukies. Keep crackers on your nightstand if you are nauseaus even before you get up.

My faves were pop tarts, english muffins with a little jam & butter, wheat thins.

It will pass eventually. Mine only lasted for about 6 weeks. Hope ya feel better!

My morning sickness was bad all the way though my pregnancy. and it wasn't just in the morning.

Lemons are the only thing that helped me. Even the smell of them helped. I kept some with me at all times.

My Mum said she ate oranges and they helped.

My best friend ate cheese and crackers, and she says Oranges were great too.

My Mum-in-law said plain potato chips.

Tell your doctor or mid-wife - they might be able to help.

I haven't had a baby, but I sympathise completely as I hate being sick.

Hope this helps, take care - hope you feel better soon :-)

It will pass within another 4 weeks.
Suck it up and get to work. Your being a wimp.
This is the easy part.
I used to leave work and get IV fluids for vomiting and do it all over again the next day.
I am a hospital RN
